Can I cancel my booking?
Rates provided on our website and through e-mail are all non-refundable and must be fully pre-paid. As a result, no cancellations or modifications can be made.
How can I choose a refundable booking?
For refundable bookings, you may check for NEX Hostel on Hostelworld.com, Booking.com, Expedia.com and Airbnb.com.
In which way can I pay for my booking?
You can pay either via PayPal or in the form of a bank transfer. Our account details will be sent to you in an e-mail, together with a detailed offer.
When I will receive a confirmation of my payment?
As soon as the payment is completed, we will send you a confirmation letter with all booking details.
If you don’t receive such confirmation, please get in touch with us directly, by sending us an e-mail or by calling. Make sure you checked your spam folder first.
What if I want to extend my booking after I have checked-in?
Depending on availability, you can extend your stay and payment can be made either in cash or PayPal or bank transfer.
If I need a tourist visa, can you send me a confirmation?
Yes. If you will require a letter of confirmation of your reservation with company details and signature in order to apply for a visa, please allow up to 3 days time for us to prepare this document. Also, for this service, we require a prepayment for at least 7 days of accommodation. This letter will be sent only as a PDF file by email for you to print.
How long can I stay at the hostel?
30 days is the maximum length of stay.
Can I be sure all my friends will be put into the same dorm room?
If you wish to stay together with friends it is best to send us an e-mail, asking to book a dorm as a private room. If that is not possible then the next best option is to book together under one reservation and we will do our best to place you in the same room. Lastly, if you book separately but would like to stay together then email us and we will do our best to keep you together.
We’ll do our absolute best to organize it the way you prefer. No promises however!
CHECKING IN, CHECKING OUT & LUGGAGES
What do I need to Check-in?
You must have a valid ID-card or passport to check-in.
What time can I check-in?
You may check in to the hostel between 12 a.m. to 10 p.m. However, you are kindly requested to let us know about your arrival time before your arrival by mail. If your arrival time unexpectedly changes please inform us ASAP, by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by calling +357 99 562205.
What time is check-out?
Check-out time from the room is until 11.30 am, after which you may store your bags in the luggage room for free until 8:00 p.m. of the same day.
Can I ask for an Early check-in or a Late check-out?
Yes, this can be arranged, subject to availability, if you let us know at least 24 hours in advance. However, there is an additional fee, of 30% of the normal rate both for Early check-in (between 5:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m.) and Late check-out between 11:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
Can I store my luggage overnight while I am out of town?
Yes. Long term luggage is available to our guests for a charge of €3 per luggage up to 30 nights.
GETTING TO NEX Hostel
How to come by transports?
The easiest way is by Airport and Intercity Taxi Shared Services that drive you directly to the Hostel. Reservation is necessary online or by phone. Prices are €11 (Mon-Sat) and €13 (Sun) from Larnaca Airport and €23 (Mon-Sat) and €25 (Sun) from Paphos Airport. More information can be found here: //www.travelexpress.com.cy
Intercity buses from all other cities lead you to Solomou Square. One way ticket costs between €4-€7 and return tickets between €7-€15. You may also take a shuttle bus (ticket is €8 per person from Larnaca and €15 from Paphos) to Nicosia (//www.kapnosairportshuttle.com/) and then take a bus to the Central Bus Station at Solomou Square.
Nicosia Central Bus Station at Solomou Square is located 1 km away from NEX hostel, an easy 10-minute-walk through city center. What you have to do is to walk through Evagorou Av. towards the Cyprus Museum. When you reach the Cyprus Museum (on your right hand), turn left to Alpha Bank and take Gladstonos Street, which is located on the left side of Alpha Bank. At the end of Gladstonos Street you will find some stairs that lead to Prodromou Park. Follow the stairs, cross through the Park and you will reach Dimou Irodotou Street. Walk until you find a small round-about, turn right and after 50 m. you will find Pandora (ΠΑΝΔΩΡΑ) Bakery. NEX Hostel is located in the building right next to Pandora (on the 4th Floor). Just note that our entrance is on the corner (8 Kanari Street), at the side of Alpha Bet.
If you inform us in advance of your arrival time at Solomou Square, we can pick you up and drive to the Hostel.
Do you provide a parking for my car?
Yes, we offer our guests a few underground parking spots for free. Please contact us directly for availability and also note that you park at your own risk.
OUR SERVICES AND FACILITIES
Do you have WiFi?
Sure we do! We have free highspeed WiFi everywhere in the hostel.
Are the bathrooms private?
No. The hostel has two shared shower & toilet rooms and another shared toilet. However, we make our best to keep them to clean and comfortable for all of our guests.
Should I bring my own linen or towels?
No, all relevant bed linen and a towel for each guest are provided free of charge.
Do you have lockers in the rooms?
Yes, we offer our guests an individual locker for each bed, with individual key, free of charge. Please note, that we are not responsible for anything in your lockers, even if they are properly locked.
Do the dorms offer reading lights, power-outlets and USB ports?
Yes! Most of our beds are equipped with an individual reading light, plug and USB port.
Do you have laundry facilities?
Yes, we do! Just ask at reception to open up the facilities so you can wash your laundry by yourself for €4.
FOOD, DRINKS & BARBEQUE
Do you have a guest kitchen?
We have a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee makers, cups, plates, glasses, etc. You may store your food in the fridge or the cupboard, just be sure it’s clearly labeled. Feel free to use our kitchen and equipment to create your own dishes, but please leave them clean, since there is no cleaning service for the kitchen.
Do you serve breakfast?
At our kitchen you can make and enjoy tea and coffee, as well as toast with butter and jam, free of charge!
What about lunch or dinner?
Unfortunately we don’t serve lunch or dinner either. However, you are more than welcome to use our kitchen facilities to prepare your own meals.
A local supermarket, which sells everything you might need during your stay, is located just around the corner. Furthermore, one of the best bakeries in town is located just downstairs, open 24/7 and offering not only tasty pastry, but also sweets and lunches.
Alternatively, we can suggest you a lot of places where you can enjoy meal as a local.
Can I use the barbeque fireplace?
Absolutely, provided that you follow all the fire safety rules.
OTHER POLICIES AND INFORMATION
Can I bring children/families?
Yes, you can! All children are welcome. However we don’t provide baby facilities, e.e. nappy bins, changing mats, child’s cod/crib etc. Children can only stay in dorms with their parents or responsible adult(s) and in this case we require that you book exclusive use of a dorm, i.e. pay for all 4 beds.
Is there a curfew or lockout?
No. We have a side entrance that is open 24/7 for hostel guests who already checked in.
Is there a female only dorm?
Yes, one of our three dorms are for female only, while the other two are mixed.
Does your hostel allow pets?
Unfortunately you can’t bring any pets into the hostel. Guide dogs are an exception and are more than welcome.
Can I smoke/vape in the hostel?
Smoking is prohibited in all indoor hostel areas, but you may smoke/vape at the terrace.
Can I bring guests who aren’t staying in the hostel?
You are welcome to bring friends into the lobby, kitchen and terrace, but not beyond these areas. Also note that to ensure the security for our guests, no outside guests are allowed to visit after 10:00 p.m.
How do I apply to work for NEX Hostel?
We’ll be happy to consider your resume when we have open positions. We may also consider proposals for accommodation/work schemes, so don’t hesitate to drop us an e-mail with any questions.
